Diggers Biyseal (Impregnated Foam)
BIYSEAL Polyurethane Impregnated Foam (compressible self – expanding open cell foam strips)
Diggers Biyseal Polyurethane Impregnated Foam is based on a light-weight, flexible polyurethane foam, having a normal density of 35kg per cubic metre, manufactured to AS 2282–79, and impregnated with bitumen. Packaged individually and bar-coded.
Typical Uses:
- Dust / vermin proofing of metal wall or roof cladding
- Vertical expansion joints in precast concrete, brick and block work
- Jointing between walls and windows
- Profile BIYSEAL for sealing various roof and wall decking
- Joint sealing of logs in timber homes
- Back-channeling foam
Dimensions:
1. Profiles available to match most popular roof and wall claddings.
2. Rectangular sections – 13mm x 13mm x 2m up to 1000mm x 50mm x 2m.
3. Coils – 19mm x 13mm x 7.62m; up to 100mm x 25m.
Size to be used depends on the application and end requirements.
1. Weather-resistant joints – allow for foam width equal to 5 times the joint opening.
2. Expansion joints – allow for a foam width equal to 3-4 times the joint opening.
3. Joint proofing – allow for a foam width equal to twice the joint opening.
Sizes:
Diggers Biyseal is supplied either in 15-metre packs, 7.6-metre coils, 2-metre handy packs or profiles to suit various roof deck conformations.
Application:
Biyseal is suitable as a weather-resistant seal for numerous applications in building, commercial construction or industrial – either on its own or in conjunction with Mastic Sealants (depending on the application).
Surfaces to which Biyseal is to be applied should be clean, sound and free of grease, dust and loose materials.
