Diggers Oxides
Diggers Oxides are used as colouring agents for cement mortar, concrete mixes and plaster renders. Diggers Oxides provide an even and permanent result with less likelihood of colour loss due to wear and chipping.
Typical Uses:
- Colouring concrete and mortar mixes.
- Dusting concrete driveways, entertainment areas and paths.
Features:
- Comprehensive range of 9 colours in 10 differing pack sizes from 150g to 25kg.
- Colour variations can be achieved by mixing with white or grey cement based products.
- Durable and water resistant for internal and external use.
Application:
A General Guide for Colouring Concrete
- To achieve a solid colour use 12kg of Diggers Oxide per every m3 of concrete.
- Do not use more than 25kg per m3 as the mix will not accept the overdose of oxide.
- Do not add more than 10% of oxide colour to the total cement content eg. if 1m3 of concrete contains 220kg of cement, add 22kg of oxide. For smaller quantities mix 5kg of concrete with no more than 0.5kg of oxide.
- When using a 3 cubic feet, on-site cement mixer you would normally use 10-12kg of pure cement. For a light shade add 300g (3%) of oxide; medium shade 600g (6%); and dark shade no more that 1kg (10%).
- Always measure the amount of oxide, cement, sand and water by weight not by volume.
Safety:
Wear suitable protective clothing, gloves and eye / face protection when using this product.
