IMPORTANT UPDATE

IMPORTANT UPDATE

These are difficult times and we continue to navigate through the unprecedented challenges we are currently facing. As you can imagine, we are receiving an exponential demand for Recochem products and as such it may take a little longer to get back to you, so please bear with us.

In order to have your enquiry answered promptly, please follow your usual ordering process and contact your account manager in the first instance.

At this present time due to product manufacturing availabilities and so everyone can have access to our products, we have made the decision to limit purchasing to trade quantities only.
If you require smaller quantities and/or for personal use, we recommend visiting your usual retail supplier who we know are working hard to keep stocks replenished.

For specific product information, in the first instance please review the relevant (M)SDS which is available on the website here – http://www.recochem.com.au/index.php/msds/m/

To help your questions get answered sooner, here are some common queries we have been receiving:

Can I use Methylated Spirits to make hand sanitiser?
Diggers Methylated Spirits is a denatured ethanol product which contains a minimum of 95% ethanol and then additives to make it compliant with ATO and Poisons regulations. Whilst ethanol is a component in many sanitising and disinfecting products it is strongly advised that consumers purchase commercially available sanitisers and disinfectants for their sanitary requirements. Diggers Multi-Purpose Surface Cleaner is a product that falls under this category as it meets the requirements for a household disinfectant. It does not make claims to kill viruses. More information on disinfection can be gained from the TGA website

Does Methylated Spirits contain Methanol?
Diggers Methylated Spirits does not contain methanol.

What is the denaturant in Methylated Spirits?
The denaturing agent used in Diggers Methylated Spirits is:
0.25% Methylisobutyl Ketone
6.6ppm Denatonium Benzoate
1ppm Flourescien

How can I use Isopropyl Alcohol to make hand sanitiser?
Unfortunately we don’t manufacture hand sanitiser here at Recochem, therefore don’t have any formulations available.
Recochem produces, packages and sells solvents as raw materials.

We hope this helps and we will keep you updated with any necessary changes that do occur.
